Her last name reads water skiing and her name reads faith in conquering glory. Christiana de OsmaShe is 10 years younger than her brothers Rafael and Alejandra, so she grew up on lagoons practicing this sport from a very young age, always with a huge smile. “ I have many memories of seeing them since I was little and I wanted to do their thing”, she tells us today, when she is already 13 years old. And she did it.
She learned to ski even before she learned to run, and today those memories come to her mind when she look proud with her latest victory. At the end of May, Christiana won the Junior Women Master in the Under 18 category in Pine Mountain, Georgia, that is, in a contest in which she gave away five years of age. In addition, her victory took place in the most complicated way, in the so-called 'Head to Head', where two competitors enter the water at the same time -each one with her boat- and impose marks until one falls off . With that, she obtained a scholarship to study at the university where she decides thanks to the O'Brien Foundation.

She is the best in the 14-year-old ranking and the third in the U17. “It is incredible to see everything that is happening, that I am winning and that I am achieving the goals that I had set for myself,” he tells us.

A wave of luck meant that just before the pandemic, the De Osma family traveled to Orlando for a couple of weeks of training. That time turned into all the time that the restrictions prevented her from moving around, so she was able to train much longer there.
Today, Christiana already He has his own track record and that is why he will continue in Orlando to continue his career in this sport. “In Lima we have left family and friends. I am here with her, her father comes and goes from Peru, it is not easy, but we see her win and enjoy it and it is worth it”, tells us his mother Mónica Bedoya. There she has been working with Rhoni Barton, world champion water skier and hall of famer for American athletes, since she was a little girl, but now she does it more regularly.
She is a 13-year-old girl who enjoys her age in her own way. She trains four hours a day in the morning for five days a week, and in the afternoon she concentrates on her studies. Thus, Christiana dreams of great things and she prepares for it.
