The sequel Chivalry II had been in development for a long time after the first part was surprisingly successful. Now there is finally a release date for the successor.
As part of the Epic Games Store Spring Showcase, developer Torn Banner Studios worked with publisher Tripwire Interactive and Deep Silver and finally announced the release date of Chivalry II.
The successor will therefore be available from June 8, 2021 and then also offer cross-play between the supported platforms. Players on PC (Epic Games Store), PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S can play together and against each other.
Anyone who pre-orders the title for the PC will get a goodie in the Epic Games Store:
The pre-order is linked to guaranteed access to the planned closed beta test phase. This should start on March 26, 2021 and will last until March 29, 2021. In this test phase, “
The Siege of Rudhelm” is also a new map from the game, as well as numerous different game modes. Registrations for the closed beta without pre-order are possible on this website.
Those who decide early can strike immediately and secure their full version in advance. At the same time, the so-called Day One Edition also gives you exclusive access to the “Royal Two-Handed” weapon skin.
Commenting on the announcement, Steve Piggott, founder of Torn Banner Studios, said: “Our development team has been firing on all cylinders to create the best medieval fighting game imaginable. Chivalry 2 will be everything fans of the first title could dream of have and much more – from a completely rebuilt combat system to massive improvements in size and graphics. ”
