Unitree Robotics' Chinese four-legged wheeled robot B2-W was taught acrobatics and breakdancing. In a video posted on the company's YouTube channel, the robot performed a side flip, a sequential spin on four and two wheels, a jump with a 180 and 360 degree turn around its axis, and — balancing on two legs while spinning, i.e. the fly trick from breakdancing.
During the update, the four-legged robot also learned to jump from a height of almost two meters on two legs and from a height of almost three meters on four. It can also navigate rocky slopes, rapids, and other uneven surfaces at speeds of up to 20 kilometers per hour. The robot can climb and descend slopes with a weight of 40 kilograms or even a person on its back.
