China tried to buy equipment that jams drones for Russia

The Chinese government organization “Association for the Promotion of Trade with Russia of Guangdong Province” tried to buy equipment for the Russian army that can be used to jam drones. This was reported by the British publication Financial Times.

A notice about the purchase of the relevant equipment was posted on May 22 on the official page of the Chinese government organization in the WeChat social network, and was later deleted. 

The association wrote , that Russian buyers wanted to purchase jammers, drone detectors (BorisTone, Assel Labs, Bulat) or other similar equipment, UAV suppressors and jammers of the communication frequency range.

As the Financial Times writes, Russian customers also wanted to get a domestic analogue of the Bulat drone detectors developed by the St. Petersburg company 3mx.

The publication noted that the equipment of the 3mx company is used, in particular, in the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

Journalists asked the representative&nbsp ;the Chinese trade body, why the notice about the purchase of equipment was eventually removed. In response, he said that this announcement turned out to be “some kind of mistake, so it was removed.” According to him, Russian buyers were allegedly looking for “children's toys”.
