China test-fired an intercontinental ballistic missile

China announced the successful launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile with a simulated warhead.

This is stated in the statement of the Ministry of Defense of the People's Republic of China.

The launch of the missile was carried out by the Chinese army September 25 at 8:44 a.m. Beijing time (3:44 a.m. Kyiv time). It is noted that the missile “landed in a predetermined area” in the Pacific Ocean.

The Ministry of Defense of the People's Republic of China said that this launch was “a normal event for annual military exercises, conforms to international law and practice, and does not target any a specific country or target”.

At the same time, the Chinese authorities did not disclose the type of missile tested and its trajectory.

Chinese media write that Beijing warned all interested countries about the test in advance.
