According to the portal, the new aircraft carrier is located at the shipyard on the Yangtze, up the river from the main shipyards in Shanghai.
«This is China's fourth ship , whose existence was not previously reported», – the publication says.
The authors of the publication write that the ship was launched in December 2022. The ship is significantly different from the three previous aircraft carriers in terms of size. The flight deck occupies about a third of the length of the American aircraft carrier.
It is noted that the ship can be an experimental platform for testing and improving the operation of drones at sea.
