China freely exports naval drones that can be turned into weapons

Chinese companies freely sell on the commercial market, including for export, unmanned boats that can be used as a kamikaze.

The publication notes that the use of Chinese flying drones on the front in Ukraine is not a secret for anyone, but now the Chinese seem to want to enter the maritime drone market as well.

«Alibaba and other online markets are full of small naval drones suitable for weapons. Perhaps future conflicts will have these cheap substitutes. As is often the case with Chinese online offerings, some may be paper-based, – the publication says.

The publication also provides examples of several such drones that are available for sale on Chinese marketplaces. For example, the USV-I6000 model manufactured by Wuhan Greenbay Marine Technology Co., Ltd. in Hubei province, visually somewhat resembles Ukrainian naval drones and can take on board up to 200 kg of cargo. Range is not specified.

Or, for example, USV Type-001 from CETC Ningbo Maritime Electronics Co., Ltd. This drone is sold at a price of $100,000 per unit and is ready to ship in batches of 100 units per month.
