Chelsea announced the signing of Pierre Emerick Aubameyang after a week full of rumours. The English team and Barcelona reached an agreement for the transfer of the Gabonese striker in exchange for 12 million euros.
The player arrived at the culé cast for the 2021-22 season after being released from Arsenal. After his transfer to the 'Blues', the striker became a big deal for the Catalans, taking into account that it didn't cost them a single euro and they will get a significant sum of money for him.
In the same way, with the motto of facing the Premier League with the best weapons, Thomas Tuchel took an attacker of proven quality in English football, as he demonstrated in his days in the 'Gunners'.
< p itemprop="description" class="story-contents__font-paragraph">“I am very happy. It's an honor to be a part of this team and I can't wait to get started. I have some unfinished business with the Premier League, so it's good to be back and it's really exciting”, were Aubameyang's first words as a Chelsea player.
Pierre Emerick Aubameyang will face a new challenge in his career.
“Pierre-Emerick is an elite striker with a proven track record in the Premier League and his arrival strengthens our team, giving us new options Of attack. We are delighted to have Pierre-Emerick on board with us in the new era at Chelsea and we look forward to working with him,” added Todd Boehly, president of the London entity, during the signing of the contract.
During the 2018/19 season, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was the Premier League Golden Boot with 22 goals, sharing the award with Sadio Mané and Mohamed Salah . There is no doubt that Tuchel will have a great element to exploit, with a long journey and experiences in tow.
