Bloomberg reports that OpenAI plans to release a beta version of a new scheduling feature for its ChatGPT chatbot. This will allow users to set tasks, such as sending reminders or composing texts, for a specific time.
The chatbot will send notifications at scheduled times, aiming to make ChatGPT more useful throughout the day. This feature, available to paid ChatGPT Plus, Team, and Pro subscribers, is part of OpenAI’s strategy to turn ChatGPT into a competitive digital assistant similar to Alexa.
After two years of existence, ChatGPT has over 300 million active users and will now be able to offer functionality that other assistants have long had.
