Compagnucci answered some questions and, one of the phrases that he managed to hear was that he arrived “very excited”.
Universitario will welcome Carlos Compagnucci and his technical team this Monday, June 20 at a press conference.
After passing through Universitario in 2005, where he assumed his third experience as DT, Compagnucci directed the Paraguayan Guaraní and was a technical assistant for Colo Colo (Chile), Estudiantes (Argentina), Independiente, Deportivo Alavés (Spain) and Vélez Sarsfield, accompanying his compatriot Mauricio Pellegrino for the last ten years.
Year of movements in University
At the beginning of the year, Universitario de Deportes was managed by Gregorio Pérez, but for health reasons, the Uruguayan could not continue on the bench. Álvaro Gutiérrez arrived later and, due to the poor results, his departure was confirmed. Since April, Jorge Araujo has been the leader of the technical team.
Compagnucci will now have the mission of making the cream team the protagonist in League 1, where the 'U' was left without options to fight for the first phase of the league and must revert in the second half of the year so as not to be left empty-handed. His main objective will be to lead the group to the desired star 27.
