Two teenagers aged 16 and 17 years old who allegedly tried to flee the police at the wheel of a stolen vehicle were arrested early Sunday morning in Sainte-Catherine-de-la-Jacques-Cartier, near Quebec.

It was around 2 a.m. that police officers from the Quebec City Police Department requested assistance from agents of the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) to find a vehicle that had been stolen earlier in the night.

A geolocation system installed on board allowed officers to spot the stolen vehicle which was traveling on the Fossambault road.

A short chase began while the fugitives refused to stop their car.

A few minutes later, the suspects abandoned their vehicle on the Saint-Denys Garneau road and fled on foot.
