The disappearance of Christopher Plummer was announced Friday by several media. The Canadian, which we had seen in The melody of happiness, was 91 years old.
In 1965, he played Captain Georg von Trapp in Robert Wise’s legendary musical.
About fifty years later, in 2012, he became the oldest actor to receive an Oscar. At 82, he lifted the statuette for best actor in a supporting role for Beginners by Mike Mills.
Born in Toronto, Christopher Plummer had spent part of his childhood in Montreal.
