Siskiyou County, where the Klamath Wildlife Refuge is located, has a population of about 44,000, according to the US Census Bureau.

Emergency Declaration by California Gov. Gavin Newsom will help residents access federal assistance and unlock state resources.

There have been no reports of deaths or injuries.
