Before the onset of winter, the Defense Forces of Ukraine may have time to destroy the land corridor from occupied Crimea to the territories of Ukraine temporarily occupied by Russia.

This was stated by the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense in an interview with The Economist. Lieutenant General of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov.

He noted that the first defensive line of the Russians in the Zaporizhzhia region has already been breached in some places, which means that the operation to cut the land link between Russia and Crimea can be carried out even before the onset of winter.

Ukraine may have already mobilized some of its reserve troops for a counteroffensive, but Russia, perhaps out of desperation, is throwing understaffed reserves into battle, which it did not plan to mobilize until the end of October.

Contrary to the statements of the Russian Federation, it has absolutely no strategic reserve, stated Kyrylo Budanov.

According to him, the 25th Combined Arms Army of the Russian Federation, prematurely deployed on the eastern front in the area of Lyman and Kup’yansk, has in its disposal of only 80% of the personnel and 55% of the equipment that should have been at its disposal.

Earlier, Kyrylo Budanov said that Russia has been receiving ammunition from the DPRK for a month and a half already. Among the weapons, in particular, – projectiles for cannons and “Grad” MLRS.
