The defense giant hopes to deliver the first Lynx tracked platform to Ukraine in less than six months.
The German company Rheinmetall is going to hand over the first Lynx infantry fighting vehicle to Ukraine by the end of this year. This is stated in the defense company's semi-annual performance report.
The German defense giant Rheinmetall has published a report in which the concern's revenue has increased due to the sale of military equipment and weapons to the German armed forces, EU and NATO partners. and also to Ukraine.
“We have never seen such growth. We expect annual sales growth to be around 2 billion euros in the coming years,” — the general director of Rheinmetall Armin Papperger is quoted in the report, who noted that in the second quarter the company's sales increased by approximately 50%.
The report also states that the company will hand over the first Lynx BMP to Ukraine by the end of 2024. Currently, it is not known where exactly the cars will be assembled. However, it is specified that the company is conducting negotiations on the localization of production.
