The top manager did not report an estimate of total exports for 2022, noting only that this can be calculated knowing how much was previously supplied to Finland and the Baltic countries.

< p> “Yes, the market of the Baltic States and Finland, we left it. At the moment there are no prospects for returning,” Kovalchuk added.

According to the results of 2021, electricity exports by Inter RAO increased by 86.1%, to 21.77 billion kWh (the highest level in the last 10 years).

Finland has traditionally become the main destination for supplies (8 .2 billion kWh, an increase of 3.1 times), the Baltic States (4.7 billion kWh, +37.1%) and China (3.97 billion kWh, +29.9%). Supplies to Kazakhstan also increased significantly – by 43.4%, to 1.8 billion kWh, Georgia – 3 times, to 1.7 billion kWh, Mongolia – by 55.9%, to 0.49 billion kWh

The European direction of export was the main one for InterRAO. In the spring, Finland and the Baltic countries stopped importing electricity from Russia, citing problems with payment.

Inter RAO is a diversified energy holding that manages assets in Russia, as well as in Europe and the CIS. The company is also the only Russian operator of electricity export-import.

The main shareholder of the company at the end of 2021 was Rosneftegaz (27.63%), PJSC FGC UES (MCX:FEES) owned 8, 57%. Inter RAO Capital accounted for 29.56%, another 34.24% was in free float.
