Mistakes made by staff and lack of hygiene are unfortunately commonplace in fast food restaurants, much to the dismay of customers. While on Hitek, we sometimes report certain misadventures experienced by customers after their escapade at McDonald's, its famous competitor Burger King is not exempt. With nearly 15,000 restaurants around the world, the brand obviously makes mistakes, some of which are more serious than others.

This is an unsavoury situation that this American woman and her daughter experienced after a meal at the fast food giant. While visiting a Burger King in Gettzville, New York, a mother and daughter discovered blood on a cheeseburger wrapper.

“Mom, I Don't Want Ketchup”

This American woman told the story in detail on TikTok, revealing images of the packaging. “Today I went to the Burger King near my house, and then I heard: 'Mom, I don't want ketchup'”shortly after her daughter started eating her cheeseburger and fries. “So I took the bag back, thinking they messed up our order,” Floyd added. “And I looked in her bag and there was blood everywhere.”

Decided, she returned to the restaurant. A manager confirmed that an employee had injured his finger shortly before the order was prepared. A flagrant lack of hygiene that recalls other disgusting stories faced by some fast-food customers around the world. Burger King issued a statement following the incident, in which it announced the closure of its restaurant for a reconversion and deep cleaning.
