"Budanov's magical smile": Gapchinska drew a cute portrait of the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications

Ukrainian artist Yevgenia Gapchynska is known for her paintings depicting cute angels. She surprised the audience with a new portrait of the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, Kirill Budanov, made in her characteristic “childish style”. surprise and admiration among your followers. The artist signed the portrait of Kyril Budanov, the head of the State Educational and Scientific Research Center: “Budanov's magical smile”.

Although Evgenia did not reveal the reason for creating this portrait, commentators noted a striking similarity with the original, and were also interested in the frog in the aquarium and its pose, thanking the artist for positive emotions. Here is just a part of the comments:

This work is not the first on a political topic in Gapchynska's work. In 2022, she portrayed the former Prime Minister of Great Britain Boris Johnson in her style, and in the summer of 2023 she created a painting dedicated to Ukrainian families whose men are fighting, calling it “500 days of our dad at war”.

Evgenia Gapchynska's husband, the artist Dmytro Gapchynskyi, also takes part in the defense of Ukraine with weapons in his hands.
