Bryansk Region Governor Alexander Bogomaz reported on Sunday, October 27, that an attempt to “cross the state border by an armed group of individuals” had been thwarted in the region. Bogomaz wrote about this on his Telegram channel, Radio Liberty reports.
According to him, the attempt to violate the border took place near the uninhabited settlement of Manev in the Klimovsky District. “The enemy was inflicted with fire damage,” – wrote Bogomaz, noting the involvement of the FSB Border Guard Department, units of the Armed Forces and the Russian National Guard in the operation against the saboteurs. He did not provide any other details.
The head of the region also indicated that “the situation in the Klimovsky District is currently stable and under control.”
