“The UK government has made clear that any transfer of ballistic missiles to Russia will be seen as a dangerous escalation and will result in a significant response,” the statement said.

On Tuesday, September 10, during a visit to London, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that Russia had received ballistic missiles from Iran and would likely use them against Ukraine within weeks.

On Tuesday, the US, UK and EU countries condemned the move.

Britain imposed sanctions on Iranian individuals and entities involved in the production of drones and missiles, as well as on Russian cargo ships involved in transporting missiles from Iran to Russia.
