Britain tested a new cruise missile that can hit moving targets 100 kilometers away

Ministry of Defense of Great Britain tested a new air-to-ground cruise missile SPEAR.

The ministry posted a corresponding message on the social network Kh.

«SPEAR — it is a cruise missile of a new generation that can hit targets at a distance of 100 km,” the Ministry of Defense said.

The ministry added that the missile is intended for use against a number of targets, including air defense, ships, tanks, protective structures and fast-moving vehicles.

It is noted that SPEAR will be used by British F-35B fighters Lighting.

The missile operates in all weather conditions, as well as day and night.

The British Air Force added that the missile completed the test after being fired from the company's Typhoon fighter jet BAE Systems at the Widsel test site in Sweden.
