Bribe of 400 thousand dollars: NABU and SAPO revealed details of the detention of the Deputy Minister of Community Development
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) disclosed the details of the exposure of the Deputy Minister of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development for receiving a bribe of 400 thousand dollars.

The name and surname of the detained bribe taker were not disclosed, but on Saturday, January 21, the Ministry of Infrastructure confirmed media reports that Vasily Lozinsky, who was the first deputy and also temporarily acting minister for the development of communities and territories, had been detained for embezzlement of state funds.
Law enforcers report that in the summer of 2022, the Cabinet of Ministers allocated UAH 1.68 billion to restore critical infrastructure and provide citizens with light, heat and water in the winter.
However, later the investigation found that a number of officials from central and regional executive authorities decided to appropriate part of these funds.
In collusion with a group of intermediaries, officials ensured the conclusion of procurement contracts at an inflated cost with predetermined entrepreneurs. in tenders – this is the difference between the real cost of services and the purchase price.
During the searches, 920 thousand hryvnias and 38.7 thousand dollars were found and seized in the office of enterprises.
The actions of the detainee were previously qualified as bribery of a person providing public services, as well as misappropriation, embezzlement of property or taking it by abuse of official position ( Part 4 of Article 368, Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The first article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 4 to 8 years. For the second – from 7 to 12 years.
In addition, under both articles, a person may be deprived of the right to hold certain positions and engage in certain activities for up to three years with confiscation of property.
Earlier, the Ministry of Infrastructure announced that Lozinsky was fired from his post.
