Called Greentive, the discs are manufactured using high velocity flame spraying technology, which results in a mirror effect on finished products and increases their life. According to the developers, the discs produce less metal dust, since they wear out much more slowly, which has a positive effect on the environmental situation. The company's logo, printed on them, is a kind of wear indicator: the paler it becomes, the closer the disc replacement time. In addition, the mirror coating increases the corrosion resistance of the products.
Manufacturers have announced their readiness to produce discs for solid, ventilated or perforated brakes. Their cost and timing of their appearance on the automotive market are not yet known.
Earlier, Russia started accepting orders for the updated Land Cruiser Prado.
