BRAZILIA (Reuters) – The Institute of Technology in the Brazilian state of Parana, also known as Tecpar, which signed an agreement to produce a Russian vaccine for the Sputnik V coronavirus, said Friday it plans to conduct a third phase trial on 10,000 volunteers early next year.
The head of the institute said that permission to conduct the test will be requested from the Brazilian regulator ANVISA by the end of this month.
The doses will be imported for testing and Tecpar plans to produce a vaccine for the Brazilian market in the second half of 2021, he said.
