The President of Brazil said that credit support was allocated for small businesses, 65 million people received social benefits, regional and local administrations were provided with funds to create medical care for the infected.
The politician noted that the local press kept silent about the success of the work of the federal center, saying that abroad “there is positive news that Brazil has entered the list of states that have been least affected by the pandemic.”
In this country, the first case of infection was detected on February 26. At the moment, Brazil ranks third after the United States and India in the list of states with the highest number of infected (4,251,455). In terms of the number of deaths (129,865), the country is second only to the United States.
