The Boxing Hall of Fame has postponed its induction weekend for the second year in a row due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Temple executive director Ed Brophy said next year’s ceremony, scheduled for June 12, will be the trilogy-themed, as 2020, 2021 and 2022 inductees will be honored there.
Brophy added that it’s important to honor new members in an environment where they can mingle with other members and supporters.
The 2020 cohort includes boxers Bernard Hopkins, Juan Manuel Marquez, “Sugar” Shane Mosley, Frank Erne, Paddy Ryan, Barbara Buttrick, Christy Martin and Lucia Rijker.
The 2021 one was to pay tribute to Wladimir Klitschko, Floyd Mayweather Jr., Andre Ward, Laila Ali, Ann Wolfe, Marian Trimiar, Jackie Tonawanda and Davey Moore.
