According to diplomat, a decision on the mission could be made at a meeting of EU foreign ministers in October. “We continued discussing our proposal to create a military assistance mission in the European Union. I hope that at the next meeting in October we will be able to make a decision, which is very fast for European standards,” Borrell said.
According to him, the decision should be agreed with the Ukrainian side. The meeting of the EU foreign ministers took place in New York shortly before the opening of the high-level week of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly, which will be attended by delegations from more than 180 countries.
