British Prime Minister Boris Johnson arrived in Ukraine on Friday on an unannounced visit.

According to Sky News, Johnson was supposed to attend the event in Doncaster and give a speech to parliamentarians and business representatives, but pulled out at the last minute.

President Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that Johnson had arrived in Kyiv. The Head of State posted on Telegram a video of the meeting of the British Prime Minister.

"Many days of this war proved that Britain's support for Ukraine is firm and resolute. I am glad to see again in Kyiv a great friend of our country, Boris Johnson, ", — wrote Zelensky.

According to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak, the parties during the meeting discussed “the need to supply heavy weapons and air defense systems, economic support for Ukraine, increased sanctions pressure on Russia, in particular the proposals of the McFaul international group -Yermak, as well as security guarantees for Ukraine and the need for Russia to compensate for the damage caused to our state.

This is the second visit of the British Prime Minister to Ukraine since the start of a full-scale war.

Johnson was in Kyiv in April with the same unannounced visit – he then became the first head of state of the G7 to arrive in the Ukrainian capital since the full-scale Russian invasion.
