    Barry Bonds, left , and Roger Clemens, the top winners of the MVP and Cy Young awards are out of the Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame Fame unveiled the eight-player ballot for the election of the Committee; of Baseball's Contemporary Era Players: Albert Belle, Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Don Mattingly, Fred McGriff, Dale Murphy, Rafael Palmeiro, and Curt Schilling.

Any candidate who receives votes in 75% of the ballots issued by the 16 members of the Committee Baseball's Contemporary Era Players' Conference on December 4 at the Winter Meetings will be elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame and inducted in Cooperstown on July 23, 2023 along with any candidate emerging from the election of the Baseball Writers Association of America, whose results will be announced on January 24, 2023.

The Committee The Contemporary Era of Baseball Players Committee is one of three groups eligible for consideration as part of the Era Committees process, which provides an avenue for managers, umpires, and officials, as well as managers. s of players retired for more than 15 seasons, may qualify for the Hall of Fame.

The Contemporary Era of Baseball includes two different ballots: one for players (to be considered this year) and another for managers, directors and umpires (to be voted on in the fall of 2023).
