Boeing Considers IPO to Raise $10 Billion – Bloomberg

According to the interlocutors of the agency, the company is currently working with advisers to study all its options.

The sources added that the equity increase is unlikely to happen for at least a month if the aircraft maker can settle a strike involving 33,000 workers.

A Boeing spokesman declined to comment.

Interlocutors with the agency indicate that a final decision on the timing and amount has not been made, and Boeing could still abandon the move.

It is noted that Boeing is currently under pressure to strengthen its finances and maintain an investment-grade credit rating. . The company is one step away from entering speculative grade, which would further increase the cost of servicing its $58 billion debt load.

The financial situation has only worsened with the strike, now in its third week and led to the production stoppage of the single-fuselage Boeing airliner, while each day of the stoppage reduces the company's reserves even more. 96% of workers voted. Before that, they rejected the agreement reached earlier between the management of the company and representatives of the trade union. The agreement, in particular, provided for a 25% increase in employee wages over the next four years.
