Forget about Montreal: it is finally with the Winnipeg Jets that Pierre-Luc Dubois will continue his career.
According to several media, the Columbus Blue Jackets traded Dubois and a 3 picke round in 2022 at the Jets, against forwards Patrik Laine and Jack Roslovic.
The tea towel had been burning for several months between Dubois and the Blue Jackets, so much so that his desire for a change of scenery was known publicly. On Thursday, Dubois was benched for the final two periods of the game against the Tampa Bay Lightning, which Columbus lost 3-2 in a shootout.
Late Friday night, colleague Pierre LeBrun had identified the Jets, the Canadian and the Anaheim Ducks as the three most serious teams in the file.
More details to come.
