Crafters have managed to achieve a stable 60 FPS on the Playstation emulator.
The Bloodborne fan community has long deservedly been one of the most patient and ardent. While others await announcements of new games or sequels, fans of this FromSoftware masterpiece continue to hope for at least a remaster or a port to PC. However, without waiting for a response from Sony, they decided to act on their own.
With the help of the popular ShadPS4 emulator, enthusiasts were able to port Bloodborne to PC. And this is not just a launch of the game, work is underway to improve performance and graphics, which is gradually turning the project into a full-fledged remaster.
The path to success was long. At the first stages, fans managed to launch only the character creation screen, but after a few months the project allowed them to play the entire game from start to finish. Today, Bloodborne emulation on ShadPS4 supports a stable 60 frames per second and 1080p resolution, which was never achieved on the Playstation.
And that's not all: modders did not stop at technical improvements. One of them, known as Fromsoftserve, is creating a visual remaster, improving lighting, shadows, and anti-aliasing. These changes give the game a new look, although they require a frame rate drop to 45 FPS.
The ShadPS4 project continues to develop, and with each update the game gets better. If Sony eventually decides to release an official version of Bloodborne for PC, it may no longer be able to compete with what fans have made themselves.
