Blinken, commenting on Musk's statements, mentioned freedom of speech in the US

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken refused to directly comment on the statements of American billionaire Elon Musk about the policies of European states, but noted that he has the right to express his views.

He said this at a press conference with his French counterpart Jean-Noel Barrot in Paris on Wednesday, January 8, reports “European Truth”.

The US head of diplomacy said that he would not comment on Musk's words, but noted that “he, like any other American, has the right to express his views and opinions”.

“Individuals in our country can say what they want, what they believe, and others can draw their own conclusions from that and take their own position on this issue,” – Blinken noted.

In recent days, Elon Musk has come under fire from several European leaders after publicly supporting the German far-right Alternative for Germany party and calling for the resignation of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
