
Blinken called China the biggest strategic challenge for the US and Japan

US Secretary Anthony Blinken said China – the biggest challenge for Washington and Tokyo.
He noted that the United States of America and Japan are committed to the common values of democracy and human rights, and to the protection of international law.
< em>"We [USA and Japan] agree that China is the biggest common strategic challenge facing us " — Blinken said.
Also, according to him, Washington and Tokyo together support Ukraine. In addition, countries are discussing deepening coordination, including in the military sphere.
It was announced a few days ago that the United States will set up a Marine Corps rapid response unit in Japan.
< p>Earlier, the Chinese Foreign Ministry accused the US government of abuse of power.
