Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has seized the funds of users from Palestine at the request of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). Binance is now refusing to refund the funds and has rejected all appeals.
This was stated by the CEO of the P2P marketplace NoOnes Ray Youssef, reports Incrypted.
He also published a letter that the exchange sent to its users who filed an appeal. It states that the Minister of Defense can issue an order for the temporary seizure of property of a declared terrorist organization.
Ray Youssef noted that this information was reported by several sources. The arrest affected all clients of the exchange from Palestine. The CEO of NoOnes added that things are going to the point that the same appeal will come to the people of Lebanon and Syria.
Binance merges all the data about every user from the countries of the Middle East and North Africa to the Israeli TsAGAL without a warrant or subpoena, the statement said.
The exchange has restricted access to only certain Palestinian accounts involved in illegal activities, Binance officials said in a statement to Cointelegraph.
There were some incorrect statements about this. Only a small number of user accounts linked to illicit funds have been blocked for transactions, Youssef added.
