Bild: A drone carrying the latest aerial bombs, which Iran handed over to Russia, fell in the Kursk region

For the first time, Iran supplied Russia with the latest aerial bombs to carry out strikes on the territory of Ukraine, the military expert of the publication said  Bild Julian Repke on Monday, May 27.

According to him, the latest Iranian guided aerial bombs Qaem-5 (Qaim-5) were on board the Iranian drone Qods Mohajer- 6, which crashed on May 26 in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation.

The drone was supposed to attack the Sumy region, writes Bild.

As noted by BBC News, the declared range of the Qaem-5 aerial bomb is up to 40 km, and the minimum operating height is about 3 km. It was put into service in Iran in August 2019.

Ripke believes that the use of the Qaem-5 aerial bomb indicates a "new level" military cooperation between Iran and Russia.
