In the future generation of iPhone, it is planned to introduce a new battery technology. This was reported by the well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. According to his information, the new smartphones will be equipped with batteries with a stainless steel case.
This innovation has several advantages. First, it will simplify the process of disassembling and replacing the battery. Secondly, an increase in energy density by 5-10% is expected, which will allow increasing the capacity of the battery without increasing its size. According to forecasts, the iPhone 16 Pro will be equipped with a battery with a capacity of 3577 mAh, and the Pro Max version – 4676 mA·h. This is a noticeable increase compared to the current generation, which uses batteries of 3,274 and 4,422 mAh, respectively.
The official presentation of the new iPhone models is expected in September this year. These improvements could be an important step in improving the autonomy of Apple smartphones and simplifying their maintenance.
