Joe Biden said at a press conference in Madrid that in the coming days the US would announce a new $800 million defense aid package for Ukraine.

According to the US leader, an additional support includes the delivery of new modern air defense systems, additional artillery and shells, counter-battery radars, and more shells for HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems.

Biden also announced the allocation of additional HIMARS from other countries.

"We have already provided Ukraine with HIMARS systems and more systems are coming from other countries too", – he said.

In addition, the President stressed that the United States will support our country for as long as it is needed.

“We will support Ukraine and our allies who help Ukraine as much as it takes to make sure Russia doesn't defeat them, – Biden said.

The head of the United States added that now it is important to help Ukraine protect its territories, which the world should join. He recalled that a few weeks ago, representatives of more than 50 countries met at a meeting of a coordination group led by United States Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin to discuss additional support.

According to Biden, in total, partners sent Ukraine 140,000 anti-tank systems, more 600 tanks, more than 500 artillery systems, more than 600 thousand artillery ammunition, advanced MLRS and air defense.
