Biden promised not to grant amnesty to his son if he was sent to prison

US President Joe Biden stated that he would not grant a pardon to his son Hunter if he is found guilty of criminal charges.

He said this in an interview with ABC News, reports Evropeyskaya Pravda.

On this This week, Hunter Biden appeared in court in Delaware in connection with the illegal acquisition and possession of weapons under the alleged influence of drugs in 2018.

When asked whether he would accept the results of his son’s trial in Delaware, the US President replied, &quot ;yes.

Biden also responded in the affirmative when asked if he would rule out pardoning Hunter.

Hunter Biden was indicted in September 2023. On all three counts, he faces a maximum of 25 years in prison and a fine of $750,000.

We are talking about an episode in October 2018 when the son of the US President "knowingly made a false and fictitious written statement," buying a Colt Cobra 38SPL revolver: he told a gun dealer in Delaware that he did not use drugs.

In a separate case, the son of the US president is charged with three felonies and six misdemeanors related to tax evasion and tax evasion and filing false or fraudulent tax returns.

If convicted, Hunter Biden faces up to 17 years in prison.
