On Sunday, September 15, a second assassination attempt may have been made on US presidential candidate Donald Trump. Current US President Joe Biden responded and ordered the authorities to use all resources to protect the politician, according to the White House website.

"My team has informed me that federal law enforcement is investigating a possible assassination attempt against former President Trump. The suspect is in custody", – Biden said.

The US President said that he highly appreciates the work of the Secret Service and their law enforcement partners for their vigilance and efforts to ensure the safety of the former American president and his entourage.

“I'm glad the former president was not harmed,” Biden said.

He said that an active investigation into the incident is currently underway and law enforcement agencies are collecting more details about what happened.

Biden emphasized that he has already said many times that there is no place for political or any kind of violence in the United States. So he instructed them to continue protecting Trump.

“I have instructed my team to continue to provide the Secret Service with all the resources, capabilities, and protection measures necessary to ensure the continued safety of the former president,” the current head of the White House summed up.
