The James Bond film saga includes no fewer than 25 feature films, adapted from the famous novels by Ian Fleming. In them, we follow the MI-6 secret agent 007, played by Daniel Craig in the last five films. Today, we're looking back at the first of them: Casino Royale. Released in 2006, 18 years ago already, it features renowned actors and actresses, such as Eva Green and Mads Mikkelsen. But what has become of all these great people in 2024?

Having become a real Hollywood star thanks to his role as James Bond from Casino Royale (2006), British actor Daniel Craig has since gone on to star in major productions. We saw it in Fincher's version of Millennium: The Men Who Didn't Like Women, as well as in the detective trilogy started in 2019 with Knives Out.Currently, he is reportedly looking for investors to finance a film adaptation of Shakespeare's Othello, in which he starred in 2016.

French actress known throughout France Internationally, Eva Green played a major role in an American blockbuster for the first time in 2005, inKingdom of Heaven. Subsequently, we find her alongside Daniel Craig inCasino Royale, alongside Johnny Depp in em>Dark Shadow, but also in blockbuster films such as 300 and Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, which marks her second collaboration with Tim Burton. She also starred in the Penny Dreadfulseries between 2014 and 2016 with Timothy Dalton, a former James Bond.

First spotted in Denmark for his appearances in the filmsPusherandPusher 2In 1996 and 2004, Mads Mikkelsen rose to international fame thanks to his role as Le Chiffre in Casino Royale.Afterwards, accustomed to villain roles, he took on both big and smaller productions. We will particularly remember his performances in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and of course in the TV series Hannibal. In 2019, he also shone in Death Stranding, by lending her voice and features to Clifford Unger in Hideo Kojima's hit game.

Like Morgan Freeman, Judi Dench never seems to age. But no matter. She is first and foremost a highly regarded British actress. Considered one of the country's greatest stage actresses since the 1950s, she has also played many notable characters in cinema, from M in the James Bond films to Princess Natalya Dragomiroff in the film adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express (2017). Unfortunately, The 89-year-old actress has had to step away from film sets in recent years, cause of a degenerative eye disease.

Jeffrey Right is an American actor who has played important secondary roles, from Felix Leiter in James Bond to Commissioner Gordon in The Batman, and Bernard Lowe in the series Westworld. He is also linked to popular sagas, whether it be The Hunger Games or Marvel with What if…?, animated series in which he voices the Watcher.
#6 rené mathis/giancarlo giannini
Italian actor, director and screenwriter Giancarlo Giannini, 82, continues to star in numerous films and series. Most recently, he played Pope Pius XII in the biographical drama Cabrini. In 2025, he will already celebrate his 60th career year. In total, he has starred in over 140 films, and has also worked as a voice actor, notably for Al Pacino and Gérard Depardieu.

Notably known for having played in the seriesThe Corsican Investigationand Balthazar,Caterina Murino is an Italian actress who speaks fluent French and English, which has allowed her to access international roles. Still active in the theater, where she started, she is also on the bill for the series Hors limites in 2024.

Ivana Milicevic is an American actress and model of Yugoslavian origin, who has appeared in a large number of series for one episode, as well as in a more recurring role during season 5 of The 100. In cinema, we can cite her appearances in the films Vanilla Sky and Paycheck.In recent years, it has appeared much less screen, especially since she became a mother in 2018.

Italian actor, Claudio Santamaria made his debut in the theater, before launching into cinema at the end of the 90s. Although he did not have any very notable roles, he alternated throughout his career between Italian and international productions.

His rather cold physique has earned Richard Sammel has played villainous characters – especially Nazis – on numerous occasions: this was notably the case in OSS 117 and the cult Inglorious Basterds. Fluent in five languages, including French, he recently appeared in the mini-series Lex Africana.
