Tolun-IIR “air-to-ground” ammunition, which was developed and manufactured by the Turkish company Aselsan, – is a GPS/INS/IIR guided bomb capable of engaging targets within a 43 nautical mile (80 km) radius using retarding flaps. It has a high impression accuracy and a low level of side impression around the targets. Tolun-IIR is a smart system due to the integration of inertial measurement unit (IMU), global positioning system (GPS) and infrared seeker.
Thus, Tolun-IIR can to effectively capture a moving or stationary target under human guidance until the last moment before hitting, the message says.
The weight of the ammunition is 120 kg, the length – 1800 mm, diameter – 185 mm.
