In one of the matches of the fifth round of the Championship, its leader, Bristol City, is going to visit Barnsley on 17 October – we have prepared a forecast for this meeting.
“Mongrels” started this championship extremely unsuccessfully. In the previous round they lost 1: 2 to Middlesbrough. Also in the current championship “Barnsley” failed in the duels with “Luton” (0: 1) and “Reading” (0: 2), and earned the only point in a draw with Coventry (0: 0).
Thus, three defeats in four rounds, and at the same time one goal scored, quite naturally sent the “miners” to the bottom of the standings.
Despite all the setbacks, overall, the team played well in previous home games last season. Barnsley have lost only once in their last six.
“Bristol City” along with “Reading” showed one hundred percent result after four rounds, but outstripped the “kings” due to the best difference between goals scored and conceded. The Zaryanki managed to score three points at home in matches against Coventry (2: 1) and Sheffield Wednesday (2: 0), and defeated Stoke City (2: 0) and Nottingham Forest on the road (2: 1). Note that in each of the four matches in the current championship, Bristol City have scored exactly two goals.
In general, Dean Holden’s team does not play so badly in recent away matches. In three of the four previous ones, she was successful.
In the Championship , Barnsley have won only two of their last ten matches.
Under-2.5 total have played in three of Barnsley’s four games this season.
Bristol City have not lost to Barnsley in their last nine games in a row – five draws and four wins.
In eight of their last nine head-to-head matches, Bristol have scored at least two goals against Barnsley.

04/22/17 Bristol city Barnsley 3: 2
Head-to-head meetings between rivals often delighted fans with intransigence. It must be said that both teams have scored two goals each other in at least seven of their nine previous matches. Bristol is now in full order with performance, while one goal in four rounds of Barnsley speaks of the problem of the latter in attack. It makes sense to bet the guests on the victory.
Our prediction is the victory of Bristol City with a handicap (0) for 1.92 in BC Winline
