The presence of Paolo Guerrero in the ranks of Avaí, his new team, has caused a furore among the fans, who hope to see him soon in action in the Brasileirao. In this sense, coach Eduardo Barroca referred to the issue and praised the attacker's productivity in practice, although he indicated that they will take him little by little.

“I am quite happy with his performance in training, we expected him to take the initial precautions. Although he has a good level, the time of activity and the high-demand soccer training causes some situations in the athlete's body, such as muscle fatigue”, the strategist began at a press conference.

“We see that Guerrero has behaved very well and above all, he has recovered well from the high-intensity sessions, which was my biggest concern. As he behaved in our first work session here, he was the player with the most volume”, highlighted the DT on the surprising physical state of the 'Predator'.

“Out of 21 players, Paolo led, and then I worried about how he would perform the next day. However, he did very well and is still working at a high level now, so the tendency for him to be in a game will obviously depend on dose-response. Today he trained at the highest level”, added Barroca.

“Let's see how he will react tomorrow, but with everything being normal, is that he can be in the relationship (summoned), and as I said before, that he also go little by little, gaining his space with the opportunity to play”, said the DT, clarifying that he is still analyzing the option to summon the Peruvian striker to visit América Mineiro (Sunday, July 31).

Finally, Eduardo Barroca stressed that there would be no problem Avaí can have two points in games. “I don't see the possibility of Guerrero playing with Guilherme Bissoli as obsolete (eight goals in the Brasileirao). Muriqui and Morato will also return, so I think we have some very important alternatives in the course of our competition”, concluded the technician.
