Australian PM urged China to condemn Russia's invasion of Ukraine and welcomed interest NATO to the security of the Asia-Pacific region.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said that the Russian attack strengthened the resolve of democracies around the world to work in favor of a rules-based order.
According to Albanese , he held a “very successful” meeting with the leaders of Japan, South Korea and New Zealand on Wednesday in Madrid before the four joined the NATO summit being held in the Spanish capital.
He said they discussed “important” focus of the summit on the Asia-Pacific region.
Australia has provided military and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.
