Attempted attack on the deputy head of the Tax Office: two assailants were charged with suspicion
|Prosecutors have informed two men of suspicion in the case of attempted assassination of Yevhen Sokur, deputy head of the State Tax Service. Precautionary measures are being prepared for them. This is reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.
As the investigation established, two previously convicted men came to Kyiv to fulfill an "order" regarding the attempt on the deputy head of the State Tax Service.
For this, they rented an apartment near Sokur's place of residence, bought a car and 2 baseball bats. The men secretly followed the official.
However, the employees of the National Police of Ukraine learned about the criminal intentions of the men in advance.
The law enforcement officers said that two men were waiting for the official near his house. After Sokur left the entrance, the attackers took baseball bats out of their bags and began to approach the official.
But “getting things done” they were not given The men were detained by law enforcement officers.
The Solomyan district prosecutor's office of the city of Kyiv has already notified the suspicion of two men who were preparing to cause intentional grievous bodily harm to a citizen (part 1 of article 14, part 2 of article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine ).
Currently, the question of choosing preventive measures for the suspect is being resolved. The persons who ordered this attempt are also being identified.
