Attack on Titan, Slam Dunk: tributes from Yusuke Murata

As we know, competition between manga authors is particularly tough, due to the pre-publication system and reader satisfaction surveys of magazines that can decide the future of a series. However, this does not prevent mangakas from devoting mutual admiration to each other. The great Naoki Urasawa (Monster, 20th Century Boys, Pluto) is full of praise for his two idols, Osamu Tezuka and Katsuhiro Otomo, while A joint interview with Eiichiro Oda and Masashi Kishimoto revealed how the authors of One Piece and Naruto influenced each other.

Also, the twenty-first anniversary of Eyeshield 21 by Riichirō Inagaki and Yusuke Murata was an opportunity for several great mangakas to pay tribute to the famous sports mangawith drawings both beautiful and fun. Among them: Eiichiro Oda (One Piece), Masashi Kishimoto (Naruto), Gege Akutami (Jujutsu Kaisen),  Tite Kubo ( em>Bleach), Hajime Isayama (Attack on Titan) or the legendary Takehiko Inoue (Slam Dunk,Vagabond ).
