Asian investment Bank will allocate Georgia $100 million to combat coronavirus
TBILISI, may 22 (Reuters) – the Asian infrastructure investment Bank announced on Friday that approved the granting of Georgia of the loan in the amount of about $100 million to combat coronavirus.
The loan is provided jointly with the world Bank and will support the healthcare and assistance to socially unprotected layers of the population.
Georgia, which recorded 723 cases of infection with coronavirus and 12 deaths, has already received funding from a number of international financial institutions to support the economy affected by the pandemic.
