The Peruvian pilot Ashley García will try to raise the name of the country in an international competition. On this occasion, the Raid Baja World Rally Championship will take part, which will be held from September 1 to 4 in Poland.
The National representative will be part of the official South Racing team. He will be joined by the experienced Mashael Alobaidan from Saudi Arabia with whom he will race in the T3 category in a CanAm X3 built by SouthRacing.
A few hours after the start of the test, Ashley García expressed her excitement because she has been in constant preparation. “We started official practices on August 27, we had two previous days of technical reviews and a protocol ceremony to then start the two-day competition on the 3rd and 4th“, he said.
“We have a fairly tight schedule but we have been training all this year, we were also a few months ago running the Sudair Rally World Cup where I won two stages and this really I add a lot as training”, he added.
In the same way, he expressed his happiness for representing Peru. “These are opportunities that I cannot miss and that add a lot to my sports race and above all as training for my goal for next year, which is the Dakar 2023. I hope for all the good vibes for this challenge in Poland, to which I am going as always with all the best attitude”, he mentioned.
