Artist agent accused of kidnapping and confinement

Philippe Nazon appeared Wednesday morning and was charged with aggravated assault, kidnapping, forcible confinement and conspiracy. He remains detained until the release hearing which will be held on February 21.

Crown prosecutor Jean-Simon Larouche specified that there will then also be video evidence to present.

According to the Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ), last June, the 41-year-old suspect allegedly kidnapped and tortured a man in his thirties for several days. The reasons for these actions are not yet known.

Philippe Nazon identifies himself on social media as an artist manager.

Richard Cardinal-Tremblay, 41, is also suspected of having committed the same acts.
